I'm headed up to Rob's area to finally pickup and build my Rob English Rigid 29er. Years ago I saw his baby blue belt drive bike and it won me over.
Years later a close friend was doing some work with him and got me into his queue for a build.
I live in LA where the cyclist use cross bikes on mountain bike trails (Rocks, steep, etc). I did a 100mi ride one year and it included a pretty daunting section of dirt and it ruined my desire for a CX bike.
So I ordered a rigid 29er to build with all of my weight weenie passion. I had Rob build it with boost spacing and enough clearance for 2.4 tires (Maybe even larger).
Here are some sneak pics and the build list. I'll post detailed pics when it's build up. Not sure if I should weigh it, but this is Weight Weenies!!!
