I'll provide a better picture soon. This was my fall project.

Build List:
(Tips on non-crazy-expensive weight savings welcomed.)

Notes: I had to calculate some weights. The BB was already pressed into the frame when I got it. So I had to do some research and math to come up with the weight. Also made some rough guestimates on a few other things like chain/tape/housing/cables since I didn't want to take it all back off to measure. (I measured full weight, cut, then measured what was left over to get the calculated weight.) Actual completed bike weight is 6640g, this includes bartape which isn't in the picture.)

I've seen very similar frames with substantially lower weights. Not sure what I could change to make this much lower. Obviously mechanical Red would help, but who wants cables?

I should note that I'm not planning on changing pedal system.
I know I could drop some weight there, but my other bikes are SPD-SL and I'd like to stay that way. :)

Got a very good deal on it. And it's reasonably light.

I'll be starting my non-evo dura-ace build monday. Great inspiration! My goal is about 6.6kg with pedals/cages as well.

very nice bike. i really like the simple, matte paintjob! only the tiny red accent of the crankset does not match.

Nice ride! Tubes 250 grams?! You could save 100-150 grams real cheap there..

I hate flats. So I'm super paranoid to go to the ultralight tubes.

I just ordered some more durable tires, so I'll probably try out some lighter tubes with those, but the weight will probably net to zero difference.

yikes, thorn proof tubes (i.m guessing at that weight) paired with Veloflex tires....huh? Beautiful build....congrats on the build. But you are muting the beauty of the actual ride feel with those tubes. I will bet you that good latex tubes paired with those highly supple tires will yield less flats then the thorn proof tubes u r using (google hyteresisis...P.S. there is a reason tubular tires yield fewer flats then clinchers)... :D

-this- you will actually get fewer flats with latex tubes than with butyl.

Not thorn proof tubes. Just either Q-tubes or Sunlite.

I'll try latex with the new Panaracer D Race Evo 3 28s come in.
