Have yet to test them, I’ll have a verdict tomorrow.

So the Ciamillos seem good with the ilinks. I run my brakes super tight, which was the only way the mechanic could set them, so I was happy with that. Sadly I only got 5 minutes on this bike before braking a spoke and getting onto my caad12 to carry on my ride. This coming weekend the weather finally seems to be getting springy, so hopefully get more time on the bike and test it all out properly.

Phew, thank you. I was getting a little worried about compatibility between all the aftermarket components I'm using on my build, so that's very encouraging to hear .
Shame about the broken spoke I always seem to puncture on my bikes' maiden rides.

Poke a long cotton thread through the cable inlet at the front of the frame. Stick a vaccuum cleaner on the cable exit and it'll suck the thread through. Tape cable to thread and guide it out the exit using the cotton.

Finished bike looks great.
Sorry, I didn't run the cable so cannot answer that, although I know 573 stands by his guide of sucking cotton through with a vacuum which sounds like a solid strategy
Thank you

Asking a question in my own thread, hopefully it gets visibility.
I have the opportunity to purchase a new style Hi-Mod fork and am unsure if it would fit my frame as it’s a 2012 frame, any confirmation or lack there of would be great, thanks.

The current hi mod forks are tapered 1 1/8 - 1 1/4 so as long as your headtube is the same, you'll be able to run the new fork without adapters. As far as I know Supersixes all have the same taper, but I can't be 100% certain.
A fellow 2012 frame owner might chip in with the answer, but if not you'll need to get your fork out and measure with calipers. Alternatively your heaset bearings might have dimensions written on them.

Thank you for the input. I have gone on and purchased the fork. From pictures on ebay it looks near mint, and for £80, CANNOT complain4ibanez wrote: ↑Fri May 04, 2018 8:02 amThe current hi mod forks are tapered 1 1/8 - 1 1/4 so as long as your headtube is the same, you'll be able to run the new fork without adapters. If it doesn't fit, I'll be looking to recoup my investment, I'm sure someone will grab it as a deal

Great price. Looks like there's plenty of steerer. I got the same paintjob on my replacement fork. They did a good job of paining it, cos stripping only saved 12g.

I looked back into your thread, to see the weight saving, Im hoping to get around 50g vs the old one, which is possible as current fork is 309g

My 2008 supersix is 1 1/8 to 1 1/2, but I think with the next generation they moved to 1 1/8 to 1 1/4 which has continued since.
There are several builds on here that mix new supersix forks with previous gen. frames, seems to yield some good weight savings, nice eBay score Peeza

Fork arrived and fits perfectly. Will get it shipped off to Kustomflow ASAP to get the same treatment as the rest of the frame. Before stripping and with 230mm of steerer the fork is around 38grams lighter than the stripped original fork.
