Stunning build.
How did you mount the di2 battery in the Darimo post?
Originally bought foam spray to try and imitate the stock post but I asked Darimo and they told me to use this:

Was skeptical how it would hold up but it seems to be fine

Thanks, good to know it works in a D-shaped post.

Very tempted!

Replaced the LizardSkins v2 with Tesa 56108 25mm, now down to 6.14kg with 1x bottle cage and the Wahoo. Suprising to me because it was 6.20kg with the LizardSkins which tells me that the Tesa basically weighs nothing :noidea: I suppose my scale isn't that super accurate

Guess I'll find out how durable and comfortable the tape is :noidea:

IMHO LizardSkins had much better looks. Would it be uncomfortable for you to leave the tops without tape?

You are right or course but I'll try this out for a bit and snipe some segment PRs with it. I've done the no tape on the tops for a short while and didn't like it. It's just so nice to rest my forearms there every so often, most especially when on the trainer

What are your thoughts on the Darimo seat post? Is it any less comfortable than the original BMC post?

I don't find it any more or less comfortable than the stock post, only thing is that it took a while to get used to the new position due to the zero setback and replicating the reach on the Roadmachine required pushing the saddle about as far forward as possible. I do regret not going with the 3K finish though, his UD matte isn't the most aesthetically pleasing

Mine is 16g for a full wrap. Measure the roll before and after.

Mine is similar, I did weigh it the first time but now I just call it 15g every time. I know, I know, shock horror and not weighing something, but I always forget!

Quick pic off my balcony after installing new parts

- CBear PF4130 54g
- ROTOR 3D+ 170mm power2max NGEco 590g
+ Kogel BB86 DUB 60g
+ Quarq DZero 170mm DUB 464g

with the Wahoo + 1x Bottle cage we're now down to 6.030kg. I have a carbon battery housing for the Quarq and an Alpitude Gardena saddle on the way which should be the final bits depending on how the new Bontrager XXX barstem shapes up to be. Also planning to take the clearcoat + logos off the Quarq for looks at some point

Very beautiful bike. I love the design and the geometry of BMC SLR01.
I prefer black tires.

Hands down the nicest SLR01 on the forum. What was the reason for switching out your PM?

I have a matching 65mm wheelset coming in and was thinking about putting black Arenbergs on them. I like the idea of alternate sets, one tan wall and one black

Primarily a weight saving move. The SRAM+Quarq seems to be the lightest option with a PM for BB86 outside of an SRM Origin or the new THM Clavicula, both of which have some drawbacks and cost a small fortune (I also prefer 5-bolt). Also, I noticed that when I took the chain off, I could feel the PF4130 be a little rough at certain parts of the stroke only after ~5000km so the BB86+30mm axle experiment started to spook me out. I could have regreased and carried on but Quarq's discount was too good to pass up (600USD for the crank+PM). Of course, 29mm is not much better but hey, for ~120g saved, I'll take a horizontal upgrade in that regard.

How do you like new saddle compared to Lupina? Was your Lupina as far back too? Does the Gardena has the same amount of fore/aft adjustment range? After I had to replace my broken round rails 65g Lupina with a 80g oval-railed one, a lighter, durable enough saddle become a consideration.
