Hey guys, I recently bought a second hand tarmac for a bargain and I'm keen to drop some weight off of it.

It currently is running Ultegra 6870 Di2 which is quite heavy. I had sram red 22 on my previous bike and love the ergonomics and feel of the group but I just don't have the dough to buy it right now so I was thinking I would buy sram force as it is just as good and is a fraction of the price. Also I would swap the sram force crank for a sram red one as that is where a majority of the weight difference of the two are. Thoughts on that??

I was also looking to swap out some parts to shave off some weight and would like some suggestions! Keep in might I am on a tight budget so I can't splash out on some super light carbon kit that'll cost an arm and a leg. At the current time the bike weighs 7.24kg

Bike looks great as it is!! I'd just ride the hell out of it until things wear/break and in the meantime save for sram red.

Can totally sign that, shes indeed nice! Also yes to SRAM RED - even though you probably want a SRAM RED eTap since you are coming from a Di2

In case you want some bling and change the looks a bit for cheap you could go for some Vittoria Corsas/tan walls and a golden KMC X11EL chain

That's pretty light already, all things considered. Replacing the quick release and compression plug could potentially save you ~200g: Extralite Streeters (29g @ $130USD) and Extralite Ultrastar 3 (6g @ 31USD). A Fizik R1 or 00 would save you 100g too if you're not fixed on your current saddle in terms of comfort. Beyond that you're pushing $250+/part WW upgrades (bars, stem, seatpost) and at that point, you're digging into your groupset money and may be sacrificing some functionality, though the seatpost would be easy.

I gotta think you can sell Ultegra Di2 for the same price as SRAM Red 22
2018 Specialized S-Works Tarmac
SRAM Etap
ENVE 4.5

2018 Bianchi Infinito CV
SRAM Etap
ENVE Classics 45

2016 Cervelo P2
Ultegra 6800 Di2
ENVE 6.7

Due to my financial situation I have decided to go with a brand new sram force groupset rather than red. I have also ordered a rotor 3d+ aero crankset with the MAS spider (only because it looks cool). Will post photos when I can.
