It shipped with R3's in a 25. The demo I rode had 28s on it. Twas awesome! Deciding on which tires I am going to run. I had 28 4000s on the Madone 9. Probably will put them on. :beerchug:

I have measured the rear chainstay width at the tires to be 38mm on my Emonda. This leaves a scant 3mm of clearance on either side of a tire that actually measures 32mm. 28mm GP4Ks measure around 32mm on wide rims, so it's not surprising how little fork clearance they had in the GCN video Delorre linked.

It's funny (or not actually :? ), all those Emonda's ,especially in H2 geometry, look like you crashed them against a wall and the frame/ fork is bend.

Nice looking bike.

Weight weenie disc suggestions? Okay.

Why not go with ultralight tubulars? FSE makes some cheapish, ultra-light wheels that have been well reviewed by Cycle Tips. If budget is no limit, then Ax Lightness of course. Forget 28mm tires, too much weight, 25 at most.

Also, sell that Dura Ace groupset and get SRAM Red (not etap, too heavy!). Also go for the Emonda SLR10 seatcap and clamp (assuming you don't have it already).

Anyway, you asked, my 2 cents. Sweet ride nonetheless!

Skip the SLR seatcap. It's over $100 for a 9g drop.

I've got one, I believe the only difference is the clamp, rest of it looks exactly the same as the standard seat mast.

Yeah, the vast majority of the savings is in the clamp.

Also the same hubs as the "lower spec" Trek wheels (not DT Swiss), which doesn't mean much, because they're still awesome hubs. I'm not sure what the wheels actually weigh in at, but they're a good bargain. I only wish they made a 28h version for CX racing.
