Picked up this baby last week. Controversial colour scheme, but I wanted something "unique". :)

Frame: Bianchi Specialissima size 47cm
Bars: Zipp SL-70
Stem: Fizik Cyrano R1
Bar Tape: Rapha Cinelli limited edition
Groupset: Record EPS
Seat: Fizik Arione R1 carbon braided
Seat Post: Fizik Cyrano R1
Chainring(s): 52-36
Cassette: 12-27
Pedals: Speedplay Zero
Wheels: Campagnolo Bora One 35 clincher
Tyres: Vittoria Open Corsa
Accessories: Carbonworks.de cages, Fizik barfly garmin mount

Weight: 6.9kg unladen

I was hoping it'd be a touch lighter than it is but I guess the EPS battery makes it heavier than mechanical Record would be? Not sure where I could shed weight in the future, perhaps with some tubs?

I'm amazed it's not lighter given the size of the frame!!

Is this a standard color or was it painted at Bianchi or at the retailer/ distributor?

Damn, that last photo looks like it shoudn't be real. Very cool bike, I think that the color looks very nice and will be a fun bike to own for quite awhile. The weight is a bit surprising, have you considered what may be the reason? I am wondering which spindle type of speedplays you have and such...

I don't know if I believe in the countervail marketing gumph but I can say that I've only ridden 8 road frames and it's the nicest ride of those. That said, there are so many variables between the bikes it's tough to say it's just down to the frame and not also the rims, tyres etc.

Regarding weight, the Speedplays are stainless steel spindles, the Zipp bars are alloy (I couldn't find 36cm c-c carbon bars) and the Fizik seatpost and saddle aren't the lighter range-topping 00 models. I was on a budget after all. :(

Bianchi do custom colours for the Specialissima and XR4 through "Tavolozza".

Gorgeous!

Not sure why people are surprised by the weight. Bianchi frame with thick paint, electronic groupset, clincher wheels and no light bits (except for the bottle cages) to finish the bike.

I quite like the build. Flashy frame, black components, tan sidewalls and nice proportions always work. :)

Ugh now I'm thinking I want Bora 50 tubs!

Would they really save much weight and ride better than the clinchers? I still feel slightly intimidated by tubs in the event of a puncture.
