I would like to have this build under 13 lbs. 12.8 lbs is what I am estimating.

Super build as always! Can't wait to see how that handlebar combo turns out! And good choice keeping it clean and going for subtle details/logo, this bike will for sure still stand out from the crowd and all while keeping it quite classy.

Thanks! I have always preferred no logos or minimal logos to always be low key. This build almost became the ultimate Fred bike before I aborted the Tririg base bar. FRD Fred bike kind of has a nice ring to it though.

I got the frame back. I think it looks much nicer with a gloss finish. It did not add too much weight. You can barely see the purple decals underneath which I like too.

Man, Kevin is a cool dude but his clearcoat jobs are really bad. Wish he would level it.

Which photo shows uneven clearcoat?

This bike has 3 coats. After each coat, the frame was sanded and resprayed by Kevin. I don’t see any unevenness from my end :noidea:

Looks amazing! A recommendation would be purple headset bolts or topcap bolt as the purple doesn't seem to be as apparent down that end. That's just a little nitpick, it is seriously amazing!

Every single photo shows an unacceptable amount of orange peel in the finish. Not sure how you guys can't see it.

What is orange peel?
You sure you aren't just noticing the way the carbon actually is as opposed to the way the clearcoat sits?
Have you looked at Godzuki's shots of the raw frame and components? They look the same

You are judging paint finish through a cell phone picture but ok. I wont try to change your mind because its made up already about all my really bad finishes but for people wondering all parts are taken from 800-100-1500-2000 grit and cut, polished and buffed.

I didn't take pictures of the felt but here are a few taken with a real camera of my work in an area extremely hard to make look uniform and smooth.
