Custom Ti Frame and deep CF wheels

I've been away from WWs for a while as I've been working OS and not cycling as much. Unfortunately my waste line is showing the effects of the life style change.
I did buy a bike while away, and decided to get a custom made Falco Ti Frame. Short TT and long HT to suit my poor flexibility. ALso slack seat tube to suit my long legs.
Running gear is most Campag Chorus, but I was able to get the 180,, super record cranks cheaper than the Record versions - so hey why not right? Now back in Australia and riding more they are really starting to frustrate me. The bolt in the middle the of the crank axle keeps coming loose and the arms get free play relative to each other. No Amount of locktite so far has managed to keep them tight for more than a ride or two.
The CNCed brakes are from Far and Near, as is the bolt tuning kit and pulleys. I've used them on my previous Cannondale System 6 and they were great. However the provided pads and Al rims I was using while over seas produced very weak braking. I'm pleased to say there is actually now an improvement with the blue pads that came with my new TUFF aero wheels. They sequel a bit at low speed heavier braking, so I'll look at the pad setting etc over the weekend to try and improve that not the pads and rims have been bedding in a bit.
The wheel look and ride awesomely! Yes even on a non aero Ti frame they do feel fast. I went with their base hubs so I could get the 24 2:1 spoke pattern on the rear. TUFF custom builds each wheel set so you can order lighter hubs. Rims are 55mm deep front and 65mm rear, internal spacing is 18mm I believe.

Total bike weight is just over 8kg, which I think is great considering I didn't sell out for butting of the large Diameter Ti tubes, but did get a tapered top tube specced.
Handling wise it is relaxed, and not as explosive as my system 6 which is to be expected (boy I miss that bike for sprinting up short hills....) I wish I had of got the chain stays made a little shorter so the ride was a bit sportier and frankly I don't think comfort would have been an issue.

congratulations with the falco, looks great ! im imagine it stands out, ill keep my eyes open on beach road for it ! (-; im curious what causes the problem with your cranks, i have several sets of them but never had any drama with them !
