I preferred the white seatpost TBH.
The all white looks classy - lets the focus stay on the frame - same for the lower profile rims
Also leaving just the one ring of red on the stem adds to the overall appearance - imho

My C59 was 5.7kg with power meter
On an M3 crank! And with RZRs... :p
I believe this frame is heavier than my C59 was - but still - I've got a lot of ground to make up to get to the weight you hit and I don't think I'll get there. I don't think I would give up the shifting on these chainrings.
Still, I think I can hit 6kg flat.

It's white so it's definitely a good chunk heavier than my Nero C59 was.
That seatpost is a bit of a porker but does look nice. A sanded Sram Red crankset would save you a ton of weight. The Corsas are heavy. You could save 60g going to Carbons (and better ride) or 110g or so going to Extremes. All of that is hard to suggest though since the current kit is pretty nice as is.

You're basically going through some of my thought process. I like the looks of this post and the setback. I did Just snag a New Ultimate post on fleabay that will hopefully shave another 30ish when I cut it down.
I didn't think the sram GXP crank would be much lighter but I'll look around (this one is 629g).
Good to know about the carbons. Did you weigh these Corsas? I have some Corsa Speeds i planned to throw on once these wear out - they're 190-191 on my scale.
Today I cut the post and saved 20g. Threw on some JL skewers and saved 16g. There's a new seatpost clamp and bottle cage bolts on the way that should save 15-20g. And I might grab another XG1190 cassette - the perfection I'm after with shifting (and noise) is so nuanced that I'm not sure it's worth the porkier cassette.
And still deciding if these 9100 pedals are worth the weight!

Outstanding! Great news
Is your BB using adapters for the 24mm spindle or is it a special BB? A BB30 red crank should work fine.
I need to check my scale shots but I believe they were high 280s per tire.
Edit: nvm, 270g on the dot for both.

Thanks for checking on tires!
As Beatnik mentioned, the 82.5 BB has a smallish ID. I really thought about stuffing in a 386 crank and using smaller bearings but gave up when I didn't find much info about the success rate on this frame. I would still be interested in giving it a try eventually.
As most have said, I too prefer the look of it with the shallower wheels! I also have a set of Aero 58s which I'm strongly considering unloading for a shallower set. Would it be too much trouble if you could let me know what's the current wheel set on the bike and depth? Looks perfect!!
