Lyon, was the world capital of silk-weaving for many many years.
This tradition is somehow followed by Time that establishes its production at Vaulx-Milieu, just outside Lyon.
For many riders a frame is just a frame. Made in Italy, China, France, Japan, Taiwan, US... everything is the same. For me it is not. IMO "Made in" matters and it matters a lot. The fact that Time makes everything in France (from weaving its own carbon threads to painting its frames, stems and handlebars) is something I admire and respect a lot.

Not only because their products are vastly superior in terms of manufacturing quality but also because of issues related to economy, environment, labor ethics etc. etc.

There was something else as well that made me want a Time. The fact that many experienced riders I respect described Time Skylon as one among the top 3-4 frames money can buy. Stiff, responsive, balanced, light, with a "magic" ride quality.
So, when a friend sold his third Time (a Skylon at my size) in order to buy a tt frame I immediately decided that I had to get it.

More soon...
