Cost build on my updated spreadsheet ( cost of all parts mounted) is £795 without wheelset, and just under £1300 with the cosmic wheelset. Bearing in mind you can get similar weight alloy clinchers for around £200 - I'm confident you can go under 6kg with a £999 budget

New Wheels.

I got these Kinlin clincher wheels a while ago and finally managed to take photos










Quite happy with the weight so far

I really want to strip the clear coat agian though and and some reflective pinstriping/wireframe also make the groupset stealth/ remove weight. Would love to tune the derailleur as well. But so far I am enjoying riding it loads getting ready for the Sportive season here in the UK

Weight of the Kinlin clincher set?

Its 1,950 kg as a complete wheelset including tires, tubes, skewers and cassette
I was using veloplugs but kept puncturing the tubes due to plugs not fitting the oversized nipple holes. I went with a single layer of tesa tape. Holds well so far and it's lighter than veloflex tape.

Cool, sound pretty light, do you have a build list (or link) and weight for just the wheels (no skewers, tyres, cassette, etc.) ?

They weigh 1260 g for the pair. I will update the list when I get a chance
