Offtopic:
Why not? I think the bike looks good.
Colnago has always tried to be on the forefront of technology no matter if that means Italian everything or not. It has been some time since the Italian component manufacturers have been "Cutting Edge". It seems like Colnago customers are not always as accepting of new things. :)
They have always specced their bikes with different brands. Doesn't look like Ernesto is bothered by it. So why should you? 8)

OnTopic:

Very pimped ride, but can you really ride that in the tri/tt-extensions? That seems like some seriously astronomical reach from saddle to extension-tip and saddle to what must be end of the elbows on the pads?

Hard to explain why but that totally doesn't do it for me. I thought it was perhaps because it feels wrong for Colnago to be making this shape of frame given they so own the classic look and proportions - but then the De Rosa Pinninfarina looks gorgeous and that's an aero bike in the same vein. Maybe it's the plain finish that makes it look like generic Asian carbon? It looks kind of short and tall as well. The new DA also looks cheap compared to 9000. It could be 105. Plus extensions look all wrong (and amazed if they fit). Anyway, thank you for posting, interesting to see even if not for me!

Aren't your elbows all cocked out with the pads so far outboard of the TT bars themselves?

Not as classic as usual, but looks damn powerful! The 808 matches better imho.

Very easy and confortable for me. I've ride over 4 hours in this position.
Difference is 12 cm...and i'm 57 old...!

This handlebar is fantastic !

In a few weeks i'll sale self-made pads that are more confortable as originals
