De-stickered the rims and changed the tape (again) to some of the CInelli camo stuff - my favourite so far:

I'm planning to pick up the new Deda Superleggera RS bars, which should drop the weight to 6.6kg. If I can find a set of EEs too, that should take me to 6.5kg.

I'm also considering a change of cranks, but I'm struggling to decide which I want.

Rich, what happend to the cuffs and collars? In my eyes the bike is looking great, but the bar tape is just meh.
'Tape was made to wrap your GF's gifts, NOT hold a freakin tire on.'
If you want to see 'meh' content of me and my bike you can follow my life in pictures here!

Other way around for me now, mate - collar & cuffs is too dull to me these days.

This frame is so neutrally coloured that I wanted to have a bit of fun with it. Bar tape is cheap and can make dramatic differences to the way the bike looks. It's more interesting, and still looks good.

Besides which, I'm trying to have a bit more fun with it. 8)

I've been tempted by them before - could well be worth investigating...

I'm also intrigued by the new Eastons.

Nice bike and tape! (I'm running the LizardSkins grey/white camo).

I've only seen one Parlee in the wild, here.

did you build it with the mcfk seatpost or have you tried another before the mcfk? Wonder how does the mcfk compare with other 31.6 seatpost. Trying to decide what to use for my incoming altum :S

I had the Parlee post on this Altum when I had it on review - my recollection is that it felt slightly stiffer than the Mcfk; but the frames ride differently (the Altum R is more comfortable) and I'm using a different saddle so it's not an 'apples to apples' comparison.

Cheers Rich!

Have you done a review on it or can you add any comments compared to previous saddles you have used?

No review of this actual one, but a review of the 'Active' version of this saddle is long overdue being posted on Cycle EXIF, so I'll nudge the site Editor to get it posted!

I reviewed the predecessors to the Ergowave range previously - the Ergowave design is a big improvement over those saddles; and I already liked those quite a lot. The fact that I sold both of my Tune Komm-Vor+ saddles and bought the 612 Ergowave Active Carbon I had on review and the 612 Ergowave Race Carbon that's now on my bike should say a lot.
