The bike gained some more grams, I had to replace broken CF tension pulley from eBay with stock one. I've already glued CF pulleys once, maybe I'll try that again, but messing around with dirty drivetrain was too much for today. Another change was a new 50t Fibre-Lyte chainring, my previous one lost a tooth to a curb, which rendered 50/12 noisy and 50/11 straight unusable. No fun jamming/dropping a chain going down at max speed. The issue was fixed, now on 50/11 the chain only rubs FD slightly every several rotations, should be good enough. I did not get the opportunity to weight crankset parts before, so here you are. Those male chainring bolts are steel, so I ordered a set of aluminium KCNCs. The Zipp manual mentions that "you'll need 5mm and 6mm hex keys to work the bolts", but female ones clearly require a chainring bolt tool, I think those aren't stock. I wonder if the person I bought these from still visits WW.
Back to a spare RD-5800 Now I have an excuse to get an RD-R9100.

I think the guide jockey wheel unglued from bearing and moved to the left, I shifted down at crossroad and stopped, when I resumed movement the chain jammed between the jockey wheel and RD cage, then a loud pop and rear wheel stopped moving. Last ride the same happened, that's why I put the stock tension jockey wheel back. That was super stupid of me, I didn't think about what actually went wrong, I should have replaced both jockey wheels to stock. At least this happened 5 minutes into the ride, so I walked back home, grabbed my MTB and went for a ride. Whoever uses the same J&L wheels from a couple years ago, be careful. Carbonice pulleys look nice, any other suggestions?
Apparently, RD-5800 and RD-9000 cages have tension spring hole on opposite sides of axle, so I decided to play it safe and just put RD-9000 pulleys and inner cage plate on RD-5800. As I was afraid, the right dropout received some cosmetic damage. About 10 of chain links are bent to various degree, which makes it too short for any of my bikes and I don't have enough of master links yet to piece something more usable together from links left after the initial chain cut. I ordered a couple of new PYCs, a RD-R9100 SS and two sets of Carbonice pulleys while at it.
And a crack on seatstay tube maybe?
Nah, that's electrical tape to guard against RD cable housing.
Turns out Carbonice pulleys aren't compatible with RD-R9100/RD-M9000 because of pulley bolt shape/thickness, despite claimed "can be used for all 9, 10 and 11 times cogsets". No lightweight pulleys for me until alu bolts from eBay arrive in several weeks. At least I dropped several grams from chainring bolts and RD housing (RD-R9100 needs less). I reused XEX-SL instead of heavier OT-RS900, the bend wasn't anything special given 12cm between chainstay housing exit port and hanger bolt.
RD-R9100 shifts great and KCNC chainring bolts did not cause any issues yet.
Today I went for 95km long, 1550m elevation ride to the nearby dam, whole path is along Yenisey river. Surprisingly, nothing broke and I even made it before dark. I don't usually ride so far due to lack of courage, maybe this ride will help to muster some of it and explore other places around my hometown. All photos have EXIF intact, so you can view location of each photo on a map.
At the bank in Ovsyanka village: Yenisey river in Divnogorsk town: At the bridge, close to the dam: On the way back, bridge across Mana river: One of the climbs, these were tough going back:

I like the full black paint
Today I picked a package with J&L aluminium pulley bolts. As I said earlier stock RD-R9100/RD-M9000 bolts are the same and don't work with Carbonice pulleys at all.
The other unfortunate thing about replacement pulleys was thickness, it's ~1.25mm too much, which leaves almost no pulley bolt thread exposed and the gap between cage halves gets too big.
To fix the issue, I wet sanded spacers down to ~1.71mm. The final weight came out as 150.89g. Because J&L bolts have thread where the inner race of pulley sits on, there's a bit of diameter mismatch going on and you can rock pulley extremes left/right regardless how much torque has been applied to bolts. We'll see how this affects the shifting. Another thing to note: J&L bolt head is thicker than Shimano counterparts, so guide pulley bolt doesn't sit flush with the cage surface; the tension pulley bolt hole is deeper, so no problems there.
In the end, RD-R9100 (including shorter housing) came out ~4.64g lighter than my RD-9000 tuned with J&L parts and there are still some tuning opportunities left.

Here's some small parts I weighted along the way. I wanted to weight cage tension spring, cage rotation limit bolt and cage axle bolt too, but let's leave these for another time when I have a reason to remove the cage tension spring
Magnificent thread and attention to detail. Thank you!.
Can I ask how you are finding the Workswell through axle fork? Does the bike track well through corners without any latteral flex of issues?
How does the bike ride?
I am looking for a through axle fork to replace my CAAD12 fork and this just might be the ticket.
I would appreciate your thoughts

First of all, I can't give precise answers to subjective or hard to measure questions, like other, more experienced posters. The only road fork to compare is the stock Hongfu HF-FK166. Also take note that I changed a caliper and front rotor too (140mm solid Razor to 160mm alu-carrier Ai-neon), and a wheelset a bit later, which adds more variables to the equation. Regarding flex, I think the new fork contributes to a slight rotor rub during hard efforts, especially after heavy braking, but this does not occur often, so I'm not bothered by it. A combination of rotor size, construction and clearance should play a role in this too, maybe I'd encounter the same on another fork. When cornering, I do not notice anything different from the HF-FK166, but that also includes a winter between two setups to dull the memories, but I guess both are fine, I haven't seen any feedback about poor cornering for any open-mold road disk fork on WW. The bike rides pretty much the same as before upgrade, I'm glad I managed to find such a product, the weight and USD/gram are hard to beat. For more feedback, you might want to contact Ticlimax, who owns a complete WCB-R-093.
Your CAAD12 looks lovely, that shade of green is totally my thing, as you might have noticed from some photos in this thread. If dimensions match, I think 100USD plus shipping might be a reasonable price to try a not very widespread product out.
