Interested in seeing how this turns out. I just built a Helix Pro (2016); XL frame, though. Just the frame with the integrated hanger, seat post clamp and under bracket (BB30) cable guide, the frame was 1519g. Fully Built, I haven't weighed it yet, but I built it with Red 22 and it has a BB3 Red Quarq (Exogram). Using an ENVE Road 2.0 fork. I chose the Lynskey seatpost (27.2, 25mm setback, 400mm). Maybe not your length, but I can certainly weight it when I get home if you would like to know the weight (for comparison).

Bar and stem are Aluminum for the moment. I may look to drop some weight in the near future, but it rides nice as it is now.

Rmerka's is a clean build; very nice choice of components. Convinced me to build the Helix first and leave the Cooper in the box (for now).

Nice! Have you posted your bike here? With the server change I can't look for peoples past posts at the moment....

Yeah weigh the seat post, that would be awesome. Mine's a different brand, and only 350mm but will be interesting when I get it to compare to Lynskey model. Then I get the frame of course I'll weigh it - very curious to see how much lighter it is than a XL. (Lynskey won't respond to my questions about frame weight).

I haven't posted any of my bikes here. Too many critics :beerchug: , and my Cannondales aren't anything special, relatively speaking; just the lightest parts I could get within my budget at the time. The Helix, I just finished a couple weeks ago. Still dialing it in a bit as I get time to ride it. Ride is very smooth and it handles great.

I will weight the post tonight, as I still have one new in the box for the Cooper build. Just to note, they use the ENVE clamp for the saddle rails, and they provide two sets of hardware, so you can use it on saddles with larger rails. "Lynskey" is laser etched on the post, so it's a nice touch.

The new Lynskey seat post I have (27.2, 25mm setback, 400mm) is 236g on my scale.

Hope that helps.

WHEELS / TIRES / CASSETTE / SKEWERS / TAPE / SEALANT

There is no need to reinvent the wheel, literally.

I decided I will use the wheels from my Bike Build # 1. In the last year I have not found another set of wheels in that price range, with that low of weight. So instead of just buying the same wheels again I am now using these - and Bike Build # 1 is for sale on Pink Bike :) I took the weights for each individual part from Bike Build # 1 thread, and with the sealant I added - all weights line up perfectly.

Then I cleaned the Cassette :)

Curious to see what you end up with. My small Helix OS from 2011 hit 14.75lbs with PowerTap alu wheelset, pedals, computer, cages, etc. It was nice.

STEM

This is where being a WW hurts. Knowing that some of your parts might be as much as double what their carbon counterparts would weigh... But, have you stick with your vision...
