I have several Rca bikes that I ride, a mix of 22mm/25mm tires, Standard and Compact shifting.

This one is for cruising around, I have the 25mm tires on for country roads. I have another set of wheels, Obermayer wheels with white spokes that I will also use but I had the Fernweg wheels painted to match the frame.

I have pretty much all the same components as my other Rca bikes. I go for light and reliable, not the lightest if not the most reliable.

I reused the handlebar stem combo that at one time I used on a Cervelo S5.

I had the Fernweg wheels and while they are nice, I was not putting a lot of miles on them. They also had some small dents in the side.

I had Toby at Hot Tubes clean up the wheels using his carbon repair skills and he also removed the extra holes in the frame that are for electronic shifting. Toby then painted the frame after getting permission from Dario Pegoretti who was the inspiration for this paint job.

With the Obermayer white spoke wheels the bike weighs 11.75 lbs / 5.3 kg

Who did the paintjob? It looks nice.
How much weight did it add to each component?

I'm sorry, I'm sure it's a nice bike but that's too much. I'm sure it would look great with some black rims but white is just overboard.

The wheels distract from the awesome paint job on the frame IMO.

Ok, I will eventually get a picture with the Obermayer white spoke wheels on the bike. I suspect that they will be on the bike the majority of the time and look much more subdued. I still like the look of the Fernweg wheels, in person they are not as overpowering as in the picture.

Damn, that is a sweet looking paint job. I like the matching seatpost and bar/stem combo. Very cool.

I like the abstract art, thinking of doing something similar myself. I think the white wheels look awesome. Makes a little more like a show bike instead of an actual race rig, but nicely done! At least you have multiple sets of wheels so you can swap back and forth as you please.

It's not to my taste, but it's an awesome project - kudos for doing this.
