BRILLIANT Collection. Very very nice builds, talk about quality. There it is, it doesn't get much better than this. Well done.

What else have you ridden?
Can you give us a bit more information about how the speedvagen rides?

Nice stable, interesting you've gone for frames here with a similar ethos, are the geometries the same?

Something for each day of the week coming?!

Nothing much to say about the argonaut for now: ordered it since November. With that build I hope to bring her down to below 6kg. We'll see...Ben should be building her now if he's accurate on his scheduling.

I have ridden and owned just about everything (I think) from the , spesh e5s to 1st Gen spesh Tarmacs (the half & halfs), the aluminum Cervelo soloist, the treks, the Giants, the pinarellos princes right up to the F8s, Fondreist, Colnagos, Principias, Cannondales, Looks, Times, casatis,

I really love the speedvagen and how she rides. The thing about steel bikes to me (and I am a weekend MAMIL warrior) is that they are so awesome barring their inability to be "zippy" or lack of a better description agility. They track well, Instill confidence etc... To me the speedvagen blends the best of both worlds...(maybe cause the seat mast is carbon) I decided to go the custom/bespoke/home builder route as I really didn't want to do the run of the mill (paying ridiculous increasing prices) when a little bit of a premium would get me something built to spec... I like to think (probably wrong, but how I justify it to myself) that it's like spending half a million on a Ferrari and if I paid just 10% more I could get a Bugatti or pagani! Built to my desires and exclusive. I remember "upgrading" from the 60.1 to the 65.1 Dogma and riding the think 2 and thinking to myself, what did I just pay for?!? thats when i started to build the arsenal of "bespoke" bikes

They all have approximately the same geometry but not identical. For eg. The Baum has a ever so slightly shorter top tube.

Oh the bonsai is about 9 yrs old (well since Its been under my care - I don't know how long it was under Mr Miyagi's)

I am tempted to try an Aero Road bike...but I think 5 bikes is certainly pushing the limits of my wife, but i have been eyeing the usual suspects...Vas, S5/S3, Madone, Noah Sl,

Did you try a festka?

Your sv is so beautiful, the new color really stands out.

I did consider it about a year & a half ago. But seeing as they were a young brand then (the price tag however didn't reflect that) and from my understanding they had some teething issues with chatting with Some (disclaimer: they made good though according to the people I spoke with). I have 5 bikes now. I might get rid of 1 or 2 to make way for a festka Doppler in the future. Definitely on the radar

Can't remember the weights of the top of my head but in order of porkiness

1) field (7.1kg - has the lightest THM se crank)
2) Baum (6.8kg approximate)
3) Speedvagen (6.6 kg - definite)

@5DII mostly the Baum, but the Speedvagen does get abused a quite a bit too
