I'm convinced the Speed Detailer is the best smell in the world, but I guess I'm biased.

I'd never usually endorse sniffing a rag, but go for it...

The 'weightweenies' checkout code is still live (and will be forever!) for all of you; free worldwide shipping on all of our products. Detailing products: http://www.noquarterpaint.co.uk

We recently got a fantastic review on Cycled.cc: http://cycled.cc/no-quarter-paint-cleaning/

We've also created a small Youtube Vlog style video, using our Speed Detailer on some rather beautiful bikes: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pq6hvtjbIEg

The shop in the video is Cafe Ventoux, which is local to me. They use all of our products on every brand new bike prior to delivery (wax) and our shampoo, wax and speed detailer when bikes are in for servicing. They have a 'fleet' of demo bikes, which is great as each bike gets treated with the products, then used and abused! I get to see how the products are holding up in different conditions.

There's also another product in R&D, which I'd like to (very soon) offer free samples to a handful of forum users, just to get some extra opinions before I move any further. If you'd like to be included, please PM me with a simple 'I'm in!'.

Plus, a customer sent us some photographs of his detailed Venge! (please excuse poor quality photographs, they are from Instagram)

For a limited time only, Speed Detailer is £9.99!

It's the perfect product for quickly and easily restoring matte, but also works on enhancing gloss. Super simple to use; spray product on provided microfibre cloth and wipe the dirt off your bike. I recommend that you fold the microfibre in 4, meaning you have a fresh part of the cloth, reducing the amount of dirt that could potentially scratch your bike.

Out of curiosity, is No Quarter an official sponsor of Weightweenies or something?

Would be willing to try if it was state side. Been using Adams Polishes Matte Detailer and their regular Detailer for awhile now. Spray the Detailer on before drying, buttery smooth. Hard to beat products. Ceramic coating is also pretty awesome. Not cheap though. Creates a truly durable barrier for months, water sheets off the paint.

Can you explain speed detailer to me? As I understand, it's supposed to be used when you don't have time to do a thorough clean and detail; you spray it on and wipe off dirt and it's supposed to leave a finished gloss or matte finish (as appropriate).

From seeing speed detailers used in the automotive world, what it seems to do, is encourage people to spread contaminants across a surface thereby creating damage. You end up with swirls and micro-abrasions.

Happy for someone to clarify if I'm getting this wrong?

Okay, just curious because this topic just goes on and on and on advertising the stuff.

Yes, I've wondered how this complies with the forum rules.

@573

When developing Speed Detailer, the main job we wanted it to do was remove fingerprints, light oil and general contaminants from a matte frame. We recommend folding the provided microfiber cloth 4 times, so you have a fresh surface to work with each time you wipe the frame. It adds a layer of protection that will last 2 weeks or 2 wet washes (whichever comes first).

Spraying the Speed Detailer onto the cloth creates a lubricant that easily dislodges this dirt, the microfiber is a quality item, it's very soft. Any contact with a surface will cause abrasion, but with a soft cloth, lubrication and regularly changing which side of the cloth you use, this is dramatically reduced.

Paintwork on bicycle frames is exceedingly thin. Bicycle manufacturers are always looking to shave weight, and with a quality paint job weighing 200g+, there is major savings to be made by quite simply using less paint. Contaminants to your paint will usually do more damage than wiping a clean microfiber ever will.

Speed Detailer is our best selling product, as it can be used on matte and gloss bikes. A lot of people don't have the time or space to give their bike a wash, so this product is great as it can be applied indoors. It's also fantastic to be used on all major components, but I recommend not using it on tyres, braking surfaces or hand contact points.

The smell is almost hypnotic; it's my all-time favourite smell!

I've also had this thread for quite a few years, I am a regular user of this forum. I spend a lot of time gawping at the build threads, and I really enjoy updating this thread and interacting with people who are passionate about their bikes as I am. I'd be happy to speak with a mod if there's ever a problem with this.
