So, I had a week near Lake Garda to ride the crankset and it was a pleasure. I put in several hundred km on it both flat and hills. The shifting speed and accuracy remains very crisp and fast. The lack of flex really produces an indistrial 'clunk' when the chain shifts, which I appreciate. I was able to directly compare the OMC to a Fulcrum RRS and the OMC felt notably crisper and I don't think this is just the noise being produced through the OMC's alu arms. The OMC is on an alu DeRosa frame and the crankset really changed the way the entire bike reacts dramatically. I might mount it on the carbon Canyon at some point to feel how that is.
At the end of the week noted a slight clicking noise on the drive side and this occurred only when seated, ascending and at a low cadence on the downstroke of the drive side pedal. Overnight I checked the pedals, skewers, chain, seatpost, saddle and other potential squeek points to narrow it down to the crankset. I took it off and reinstalled it with a little more grease the second time also making sure the BB cups were in cleanly and securely (they are ITL thread). It was silent until the final steep climb the next day, when the tick reoccurred.
I spoke this weekend with Ivan at OMC-Italia and expressed my condolences before posing the issue. Ivan is every bit as nice a guy as his late brother, Walter. He stated that another tester had this click and it seems to come from friction between the integrated chainrings and the crank arm. He is now testing a thin washer to address the matter and will send one to me shortly.
Admittedly, I am a larger rider at almost 90kg. I also tend to ride at a lower cadence and grind a bit. This may exascerbate the issue. Some testers had no issues whatsoever, I and another have this click. Visually, the crankset overall is something that takes a bit of getting used to for some (I like the looks a lot) but from a stiffness standpoint and shifting speed standpoint I am very pleased. Ivan and the OMC team will get the ticking noise solved and when the washer is fitted, this will be my 'go to' toy for the rest of the summer and hopefully beyond.
Oh, and the foot in / ankle strike issue became a non-issue for me. I expected that when I was really fatigued that I might get more ankle rub on the crank arms, but I was mistaken.
Stoli.

Any news on the noise issue????
Did the washer solved it???
Tomorrow I will put mine on the bike if my missing part arrive in the morning.
All the above is correct - finish, looks, attention to detail it's all 5 stars.

Ivan wrote and advised that the washer is still undergoing testing but might be available for distribution mid-July.
The slight ticking is still there - only when ascending seated with low cadence - for now. I might experiment with some different greases for the time being, but I am not so bothered by it if the washer comes in a few weeks. I got other bikes to ride if needed.

I have got your same set up (ita thread) and same weight (92 kg... ops!).
I did about 1200 km on the crank and no clicking noise so far.
I'm lucky
Now I am able to do a real comparison:
I have got 2 steel Pegoretti Mxxxxxo, both Sram equipped, both 10V, same saddle, stem, bars.
One has 50/34 Omc Crank
One has 51/38 Sram red Crank with Specialites TA Rings.
I use one or the other according to the length of the uphill sections of the ride, or according to the colors I want to ride.
I can feel the difference of stiffness in favor of OMC.
Put mine one hour ago, just ride home from the shop. I did fill the difference in stiffness from my previous setup.
First time take about 1h30 to mount the crank.
Will ride on Saturday, and give initial feedback of it.
Note: front derraileur needs to be a little higher - thanks for that note.
Inicial report is very good...
The stiffess of the crankset, is very high compared to the Previous Setup that I had the THM CLAVICULA with Carbon-ti chainrings. No noises what so ever, but I've put many km in it. The front derraileur really needs to be a little higher, to work flawless... The passages on the front are very fast and direct... Strangely need to check my Cleats, because some pain started to appear on the plant of my feet bought, maybe to the stiffess of the package is causing this... Still don't know, will change shoes and try again.
Standing up the stiffess is very high, no noises what so ever either... I began to think that the previous noise that I had on the bike when standing came from the bending of the chainrings on the THM CLAVICULA, rubbing the front... This didn't happen with the OMC.
Loving it so far.

That looks fantastic on the Moots. Dig the "industrial" look. Cannondale Hollowgram are my favorite "looking" crankset so I'm biased.

Just a small report back:
The washer is not yet available but is expected to drop any day now.
I swapped the crankset over to a bike with a BSA BB and the ticking noise was not evident - i.e. I rode the BSA set up long enough to have experienced the ticking on the other bike (ITL BB), but not long in general, so perhaps it would have developed. I am now pondering if the ticking is something caused by a BB shell that is slightly narrower (from facing, for example) than the tolerance requires. I had a similar situation with a UT crankset and inserting a second wave washer clamped it down quiet. I suspect that the washer for the OMC is not needed due to the crankset's design itself, but to fill in any tolerance stacking isses between BB shell and crankset. I really want to run the crankset on the DeRosa, so I'll be patient and wait for the washer to test.
The crankset still strikes me as damn stiff. I'll report in again in a few weeks once the washer has arrived and is installed

OMC Italia advised that the washer to be installed for those with noisy ticks in their system are now cleared for use.
The testing took a bit longer but he wanted to get it right.
My will be sent on Monday so hopefully next weekend I will be able to swap the crankset back to the DeRosa and to report back.
I still think this noise is a frameset / BB compatibility issue as the crankset makes no noise on my Canyon but ticks on the DeRosa - both have threaded BB's but the Canyon is BSA and the DeRosa ITL.
In closing, I just want to say that it has been a pleasure to correspond with Ivan at OMC Italia. He is a good man.

Hello
Mine start ticking after the 5 ride... And what I did was torque it back to 50Nm... Removed the bolt and torqued back to 40Nm and still no ticking... Let's see...
And yes it as been a pleasure talking to Ivan...
