New 2014 build after 5 months off the bike. Test rode one last autumn. Loved it. Ordered a Project One frame from TREK USA - Waterloo; Wisconsin (population 3333) which took 60 days. Had Mud-dock in Bristol build it up for me.

Domane 6.9 Project One in Radioactive Orange, which is seriously bright coupled with the two tone text. Di2 9070 11 speed with Mavic RSYS clinchers. Rides like the mooted dream race bike but with a plushness I have not experienced since my Dogma in 2010. Just hard to convey really.

The finish is stunning and kudos to TREK for reinventing the wheel somewhat. The BB90 with ceramic bits n bobs in it yields to nothing and every pedal stroke pushes to bike forward. Built in duo-tap not essential but a nice add on. Oddly, looks taller than it is in the image, but feel that is due to the 71.9 degree head-tube. A size 56cm frame which has a HT length of 180mm, only 10mm taller than my SL3 despite being classified as a 'relaxed geo' it is far from that. The genius comes from the race angles at the back of the bike with a 73.3 seat tube angle but the slack HT which makes it ride really well, but descends amazingly with the longer wheelbase and fork-rake just taking the nerves out of really fast descents.

I may fettle a longer stem, at 110mm at the moment based on my bike fit data but feels a little short. Once dialled in will cut the steerer down. Really very pleased with this bike and it is is as they say a keeper. Finally, after much deliberation got the bike I have been searching for in shape, fit, size and performance. Love it. 7kg as you see it.
