OK. Put on both the gumwalls and all black, then cut the bike in half. ;-)

I think I'm going with black. (sorry for the crap iPhone pictures)

I thought the black would look better but now think I prefer the skinwalls...

I've been looking back at early pictures (with the 3.4s) and once the "orange" mellows out, they do look quite nice...

Well, coat one of the Mastik is almost dry on the wheels and tires. Coat two to go one this evening.

Should I keep you in suspense or let the cat out of the bag?

@jz4nyc - Thanks! I love it. Not just the same old black Parlee (my last Parlee was black).

Okay, I officially have too many wheels.

@nlouthan - that should have read "too few bikes". Must have been the damn auto-correct

kfreytag, i haven't gone thru all the pages of the thread to look, but mind if i ask (again, in case it's been mentioned) who did the paint? parlee?

that reminds me of colnago saronni candy apple red, probably my favorite bike color of all time.

It is, in fact, custom paint from Parlee. They call it Kandy Red.

They tell me that it's a total of 11 coats, alternating red and silver to get the "glimmer".
