thanks, haha not sure i could sacrifice another 3 cogs!!
funny enough i tried a set of my mates RS80s up the Glandon the day after. Was impressed but aesthetically want something matte black to match the rest of the bike.
as for forks, i hadnt thought of that, what could u guys suggest?

Not sure I don't know my forks crazy well. I have had my eye on a Ritchey Carbon WCS fork they list a 325g, which seems pretty light but I'm sure those with more knowledge can chime in.
I would definitely do wheels first though, that's where the most noticeable improvement is. IDK what that saddle weighs either, but maybe start experimenting around there too

yeah not so sure swapping forks will look good with the frame...
SR and Hyperons...anyone wanna give me £4000 and I'll be more than happy to put that on!
Looks like other than getting a pro sportive rider contract...i will just be upgrading wheels to ksyrium slrs for now

Hi Kogan,
Where in the UK are you? I am in West Yorkshire and i have a really good set of R-Sys SLRs which have been sitting in my shed for the last 6 months. They have about 500 miles on them max and are perfect... I would be happy to let them go for a good price but cant be hassled with posting so if you are local, you are welcome to come and have a look....
PM me if you are interested.
Cheers,
Lig.

Go for a good wheelset, possible options include:
* dependent on your weight
- the new Campy Bora 35 (to match the frame, but tubular only and £££)
- Campagnolo Shamal (clincher, to match the frame)
- Dura-ace C24 (clincher, light and popular)
- custom wheelset (for £1000 you should be able to get a very nice and reliable ~1300g* wheelset)

you should be easily able to get under 1300g for that money. Alchemy hubs to Stans ZTR-340 with CX-Ray spokes is around 1250g...
I write the weightweenies blog, hope you like it

Hi
After riding my Colnago M10 since April this year, I am really enjoying it!
As winter is nearly here, I'm gonna put it into hibernation soon and get the winter bike out.
Before that though am looking to make a few changes to the bike, mainly to make it a bit lighter for next year.
So this is what I've decided so far...Any suggestions of better parts/cheaper ways of doing it would be much appreciated!
bars/stem/seatpost..not sure worth going much lighter as not that heavy atm.
Crankset: Want to go back to Rotor rings & been advised to change to 170mm cranks as well so thought maybe go to these? bit lighter than ultegra crankset as well... http://www.shop-hookedoncycling.co.uk/2 ... 0-bcd.aspx
pedals: thought i could save a few grams here with http://www.evanscycles.com/products/shi ... s-ec028414
Groupset: swap from mechanical Ultegra to Ui2.
Wheels will have to wait for now as cant really afford them atm! Probably looking at ksyrium or r sys slrs.
If anyone has any better suggestions on parts? that would be great!
also is it worth changing B/B for something ceramic? if so any recommendations!?
current set up is 8.2kg so ideal wanna go to 7kg!
