Here is my 2011 Cronus. Currently at 6640g and would like to get it close to 6000. Might be a stretch given the frame/fork, but I'm open for suggestions.

Two Austin locals had a hand in the rear end: Crumpton repair on a seatstay and an old member and close friend, IUbike, did the custom paint.

Here's the current build:

Frame (including hardware): Cronus - 1015
Fork: 431
Headset: 91
Seatpost: Thomson Elite - 207
Stem: Thomson Elite - 148
Handlebar: Zipp SL - 170
Shifters: Red - 280
RD: Red - 145
FD: Red - 69
Crank: Red - 625
Chain: KMC 10X SL "Pink Lady" - 234
Cassette: Red - 166
BB: 51
Brakes: Force - 295
Cages: Bontrager - 60
Tape: Zipp Service Course - 94
Saddle: Toupe - 169
Housing: Jagwire - 70
Cables: Jagwire - 41
Pedals: Keo Blad Ti Carbon - 186
Wheels: Zipp 404 - 1360
Tires: Vittoria Corsa CX - 520
Skewers: M2racer - 38
Seatpost Collar: 26
Air, grease, glue, etc: 149

w/ training wheels (King classic, Velocity Fusion, Vittoria Zaffiro): 7430

Dropped about 77g by switching from a older Toupe to a Chinese carbon "toupe". Feels more substantial than I expected. Haven't ridden yet, but for $50 I'm willing to give it a chance.

Now at 6560g.

You definitely have room for more which is less but it will seriously make your wallet much lighter or eliminate your kids college fund. (If you have children)

My 1244 gram Lynskey R320 is built into a 12.67 lb (5.76 kg) bike with my climbing wheels on it.

Is that the Hylix Touple?

I guess it's a Hylix Touple, or so eBay says. :noidea:

To me it's a $50, 90g Chinese knock-off of the Toupe that has very pleasantly exceeded my expectations. I've put just under 1000 miles on it with no issues with either the ride quality or structural integrity. Curious how much longer until I change my tune.

LOVE my Cronus, hard to believe how light it was stock. I had 303s for a while then went back to the stock wheels, kind of want to switch back.

Nicely done!
