BMC SLR01 Project, SRM --> New Schmoke/AX bits Pics pp 4
Moderators: MrCurrieinahurry, maxim809, Moderator Team
A few more tweaks: Mavic CCUs w Conti Comp (Veloflex for racing), Airone 00 and new slr01 frame below (identical though)
plus on their way from Santa: New Schmolke TLO 31.8 bar (149g), AX carbon pad holders, 3T Arx Ltd 12cm stem, Extralite expander and mcfk top cap....
I love my Schmolke TLO/NoRA barstem combo but I am switching it for a narrower TLO with 3T Arx Ltd stem

Oh yes! Pure win in this configuration, love it...
The new set-up looks sick, Vlad! Love the deeper wheels. Considering getting something deeper for my SLR01 too from Santa this year See you around!
Really nice. Your house isn't too shabby either. I suppose I'll just never get used to the white Campy hoods, but if there ever was a build that could pull it off, this would be it.

How long have you had that NoRA combo?
I thought he is no longer producing?

just amazing... but still try it with some LW
Cheers guys....still a few tweaks but getting there...: - )
@ prendrefeu, Yeah Oliver (NoRa) built it back in 2010 (84g and pretty stiff for such a long stem), but it slipped a couple of times when I hit big potholes in races back then, so I put it aside and in any case stopped riding until this year (bloody work), so this year I had it bonded (by Calfee)...now it is functionally perfect....I also like the looks of the AX Rigid but it looks a tad fragile for real world hard riding/racing. But in general I don't think there are many awesome looking yet functional stems.
@ Nutellaurent, no doubt, LWs are awesome, lighter and waaaay prettier, but I can't really justify/afford them...that said, I am really impressed with the CCUs...they feel great when your legs are up to it ;- ) plus I got them at an awesome price + with MP3, so I will race them w/o too many worries.... but yhea, if Santa loved me he could send me pair of Gips w white spokes....
@Pete - let me know what you are thinking about the wheels anytime, I considered loads of options...we should ride soon, will email u! plus u should try my CCUs!
@ Calnago - fair point...I usually either have black tape/black hoods or white (both). this time i was bored and opted for something different....i think it looks better in the flesh....but worry not it will change eventually!

Vlad, a ride together is in order soon for sure! If I can find a spare Shimano/Sram free hub body I'll be more than happy to try out the CCUs! I also plan to test ride a set of the November Rails from a friend soon.

Nice build -- can you confirm that the AX carbon brake pad holders fit THM Fibula calipers? If so, that would be a cool upgrade.
