 My first road bike was a 3 speed (yes read road gears and brakesl) in pink!
Apart from that I only remember that it had "tour de france" written on it.. Couldent find any photos of it here (Gotta ask my parents..) I got it back in 1978-1983 Id say. Know I had it until 1987...

Anyone know which company that could have made such a bike? Puch/Motobecane/Peugout? I tried to google kids roadbikes but no luck..

Looks like late 1980s. Sure enough, I checked the post in the steel bikes thread and you wrote late 1980s.

Brain fart. Bought it when I was about 19, so had to be the late 1980s. No idea why I though that date looked wrong last night.

Thanks for the catch!

Here is my first rr-bike. A Peugeot PH12.
I showed it before at the steelbike thread on page 54.
First one is a web foto.
Second is mine.

Here's the link to the thread from when I rebuilt it. I sold it a few months later and still regret it. Amazing bike.

Not my bike in the picture, but this is exactly what my first bike was. Trek zx1400 with rsx components. I picked it up when I was 16 for $400. Lot of great rides on that one!

My first bike was a Olmo that I got from the Vitalicio Seguros team. It was made from Dedacciai scandium and was superlight at around 1.100 grams with lots of paint and even more logos. Not very stiff though and it cracked around the bb after a while. But it looked good.
Sadly don't have any real pics but this gives you an idea. My favourite rider.

First proper road bike: 1986 Rossin with Gipiemme Chrono Sprint groupset. Slightly too small so I sold it...
