Wow, I really love your Kuota KOM, my favorite of all the Kuotas I have seen.
What year was that frame made, as I can't find it on the Kuota website?

You won't because AG2R has switched to Focus for 2013.
So the bike shown must be 2012 or 2011.
Edit: Cross posting with manne.

I don't quite understand what the problem is with the black Lizard skin tape
I have the black one on my Canyon and I think out of all tapes I have used the feel of the Lizard is one of the best. I wouldn't install a white one anymore because it's to hard to keep clean , but in black it's perfect and my absolutely favorite.

+1 for DSP bar tape...it's personal, but give it a shot - easy to change if you hate it.
HOLY HELL that is SEXY!!!!
Hi,
Just teasing:
Since it's the Tour Edition of the Ag2r KOM it should of course be running Michelin's Service Course tubbies such as these:
On Reynolds tubular wheels again, I suppose.
No idea what tape they had on the bars but Kuota always had theirs made by Deda. I also use it and it's excellent. Light too.
Ciao,

As you say, black LS tape whether in 2.5 or 1.8 is a fine tape. Grip and weight is very good.
For my part I do not like the surface design .This is why it is very hard to keep the white tape clean.
Further I do not like any tape with brand names and logos. I even do not use fizik's microtex bar tapes end tapes because of this.
But as said it is very personal.
I am looking for a plain matte black bar tape for my black Kuota Kom . But rather silk matte black than plain (corky) matte black.
I may stick with fizik's microtex or microtex soft touch tape in black.

Nice build.Enjoy your ride. Is this a 2010 frame?
Asking because of different shaped seat stays upper triangle compared to my Kom.

After trying quite a few bar tapes. I stick to PRO. Strecth it hard and it will be smooth and good looking. Wrapping it hard makes you bike lighter.
The one with gel in it is actually a bit lighter than the standard one.

What Garmin mount are you using? It looks like the older Garmin with the slide-lock mount, instead of the new twist-lock mechanism. I have the Garmin 305 and been looking for a forward mount. Heard the FSA one is no good.

Hey mate,
I purchased a K-Edge forward mount and attached the 705 mount to it with two small cable ties .
I find the view spot on , compared to the stem mounted position. Hope this helps

That's an awesome idea! If its not to much trouble, I'd like to see a photo of how you ran the cable ties to the forward mount.
