My name is Wilson Parada and I live in Oporto, Portugal.

In 2011 I purchase a Cannondale Supersix and I have been doing some upgrades.

Specs:

- Supersix frame '10;
- Sram Rival levers;
- Planet X brake calipers;
- Chinese seatpost and handlebar;
- FSA stem (I will change);
- San Marco Aspide carbon rails;
- Hed Stinger 50 wheels with Zipp rear hub;
- Exustar E-PR101PP pedals;
- KMC X10sl gold chain;
- Sram Rival front and rear derailleur;
- Fliploc garmin mount;

It's my humble project.

Future upgrades:

- Ritchey WCS 260º stem or Uno ASA 105;
- 2 Continental Gatorskin tubulars;
- Sram Red rear derailleur (?).

Reason: deleted the IMG tags. I decided using my laptop was easier then checking WW on my 60" tv screen.

Bike looks great! What are your thoughts on the planet X brakes? Do you have any experience with shimano ultegra that you can compare them with? I hear they have a bit of flex compared to shimano ultegra/DA. Whats the overall weight on that bike with the pedals and all?

Never try Shimano brakes.

I used SRAM Rival before. For now I still have no feedback because I don't use them yet. It's presumable to have more flex comparing DA or Ultegra or Rival also. However I'm not a heavy guy, so I think I will not have any problem with him.

After first trainning I give my feedback.

Don't know the total bike weight. Maybe this week I allready know that.

Greetings.

For hotness points, you gotta swap out that rear gumwall tire :thumbup:

I changed out my white cables for black ones and it made a great improvement aesthetically IMO. You and I have about the same saddle to bar drop (your stem is slammed more than mine). I think your bike would look very nice with fizik glossy black bar tape. I was never a fan of black bar tape (always looks so "stock") but the glossy black I ended up getting really pops.

Dont know if you saw my thread i posted and I dont mean to thread jack, I'm just throwing out some ideas...

bianchi10,

I appreciate your ideas.

I'm following your Supersix project. I like it very much. You made a great job with it.

For tape I'm thinking in somethink like Lizardskin.

What do you think about it?

Taking a little ride, today I weighed the bike at a local store.

Using a topeak balace Supersix's accused 6.830g. Even with replacement material.

It was weighed with bottle cages, garmin cadence sensor and fliploc.

The lizardskin weighs less, but I like the gloss black because your frame has a glossy clear coat. IF your bike was a matte finish I would like the lizardskin tape.I have yet to try the new 3.2 tape but I had the original tape and the durability was very poor. I only rode about 2000 miles that year, so not a lot and it only lasted me 6 months till I wore all the way through. Expensive tape to only last 6 months. I hear the new stuff is better and lighter though.

Can you do me a favor when you get some time? Can you take a fairly close up picture of your garmin mounted on your fliplock and see where it sits comparative to the bars.
