Yeah, I really like the way steel bikes look and ride. You might have seen these frames last year under Jon Page (with Cervelo decals). As for rust, I treated the new frames with a rust stopper (by JP Weigle- don't know if this is found in Europe) before they were built up. There are vent holes in the seat stays and the bottom bracket shell is very open which allows me to get the frame saver in, and to let water out. I also re treat them twice a year, before and after the season.
Honestly in the US we only have pressure washers at a few races, most washing is done by hand which helps save bearings and such. That and our courses are not nearly as heavy in mud- especially in the east.

I don't- I only have a little postage scale, so I only really find out lighter vs heavier, not exact numbers. Maybe I'll see if the shop has a fork I can weigh when I go over to weigh the bikes.

My wife was 10th in the Masters 35-49 age group. A good result but we had hoped for a little more after last years 2nd place. But the race was shortened due to the weather problems the day before (check out the photos on cyclingnews.com- snow AND thunder!!) and Meg goes better as the race goes on, so an extra lap or two would have helped a lot. Oh well- it was a good year overall, and we are already planning for next season!
