Looks good. I have a set of masters but I switched to the 25's. Greater comfort. Good choice on the Shimano drivetrain, you can't beat the reliability and strength. I like the bar plugs too, even if they're a bit heavy, nothing more frustrating than bar plugs slowly slipping out.

How did the tyre tear there? I've never seen that before. My masters have been great. I have not even had a puncture yet (touch wood)!

Regarding the Veloflex Master tire failure, I had a tube blowout (seam failure) while just riding along. It wasn't over-inflated or anything else, the tube had hundreds of miles of use and had not been recently reinserted. This apparently was enough to weaken and tear the sidewall where it connects to the bead area of the tire.

Love your bike. I must say I did like it with the blue bits on, but non the less a really nice bike.
Enjoy riding it, they are fantastic bikes.

After a custom repaint at Parlee (from standard ghost matte black to matte phantom gray with matte silver ghost logos and accents), and with the Prologo Scratch Nack saddle recovered in plain black leather...I think it's time to buy some new shoes for this machine...the paint added about 50 grams...maybe I'll need to get some eebrakes to knock off 100 grams and get back under 6.4 kg

Thanks.

Maybe Zipp 202 clinchers with the new blacked out logos...

I like the new paint. Original and classy.
How did you recover the saddle? Did you do it or someone else?

Jason at http://www.recoveredsaddle.com/did the recover. He uses leather from handlebra and it feels/looks great, not super-expensive either.

Hmm, I have that bike in matte black, but I must say I like yours in the matte gray much better. Nice choice.
