After 5 years on my Scultura CF2, it was time to ‘upgrade’ to the new Scultura V CF3, not any particular model as most of the parts have already been swapped out when I picked it up.
Here are the specs:
Total weight is 7.52kg (7.15kg as of 14 Apr 24) with a total cost of USD2126.
Wheels, crank, saddle and seatpost were from my previous bike so I have disregarded the cost.
Here is a picture:
To be swapped:
- 1. Avian Canary Bar (360*80)
2. Ultegra 11-30 (Completed)
3. Passquest 44 Chainring (Completed)
4. Fizik Vento Solocush Bar Tape
Had only one short ride since collection but initial impression is that the bike 'feels faster' than my old Scultura (could be placebo or new bike syndrome. Will report more as usage increases.

First small change to the bike:
This Ultra-light Front calliper mount, saved 8g for a cost USD24
Looks well manufactured.
Never knew the caliper mount had an asymmetrical slot

Thanks for posting. Look forward to some more pics. I am curious why you stuck with Merida? Not that there is anything wrong with that! Ive always liked their stuff.

Will post more pictures once the 'finalized' build is done.
Here's a photo of the ex and the current one.
I chose to continue with Merida as the price where I am from is the most reasonable (compared to Specialized, Trek etc, even Giant is comparaably less cost-effective). Just wished that the frame was a lil lighter.

Interesting! What's the manufacturer of the caliper mount?
I got it from this link, it was local to me.

Decided to 'upsize' my chain ring from an 'aero' passquest 42t to a light weight custom 44t chain ring, managed to lose 6g and bling up the bike.
Also swapped my 11-34 R7100 cassette to an 11-30 R8100 cassette and lost 70g.
Ordered my Avian Canary bars in 360*80mm, looking forward to install them soon.

A big weight loss today,
Swapped from my stock Merida SL 380mm bars with FSA SMR 90mm stem (with aero 3D printed stem plug) and Garmin mount 587g
to Avian Canary 360*80 and corresponding FSA ACR spacer and mounts 306g
Lost a total weight of 281g.
Current bike weight is now 7.15kg without bottles and saddle bag. Will look into Elilee X320 cranks to try to get it to sub7.
As for how the bars feel, my 50kg and 330 Max power can't feel much flex so not much issue for me.
Assembly was smooth and I have purchased some plugs to cover the holes meant for external routing.

Swapped to the new GRX RD RX825 for about 500km now.
No issues with an ultegra 11-30 cassette. Just have to set the guide pulley to what Shimano recommends for 11-30 (can't recall).
Like the quieter ride with the clutch and, if anything, it looks like a OSPW system.
Considering getting either a ultegra or grx levers to run wired.

Reading your post, I am very curious why my CF5 frame with Ultegra Di2 ended up with ~7.6kg...
I'm willing to bet it's cause I'm running 1x on a xxs frame (CF3, tho).
I'd like to imagine if I were to be on a CF5 frame, I'd be sub7 (120g diff according to Merida site).
(Side note, waiting on receiving my X310 crank to get my bike under 7kg, hopefully).

Mine is also a XXS frame (~2700 USD as I am luckily
)
My guess is the combo of wheelset (1550g) and tires (280gx2), which is about 320g heavier than your settings.
