Servus,

I have finally created an account after being a long time lurker on this forum. I bought my first roadbike in 2020 after a lot of commuting and kind of graveling with my hardtail. I currently own 3 functioning roadbikes and i am trying to build a lightweight one for a hillclimb in july. I am mainly looking for advice on slimming the bike.
If anyone from Munich sees this feel free to hmu, maybe some rides come out of this. I will upload pictures and descritptions of the bikes shortly. My bikes:

Kocmo Roadmaster Titanium - SRAM Red 22 Rim brake
Felt FC Carbon - SRAM Red 22
Kinesis? Aluminium - Ultegra 6500 3x9

All the best
PBH

Welcome! A build list of each bike along with total weight of each bike will help the members make suggestions. As always mentioning a budget too helps since if you only have 1,000 Euros in the budget and someone suggests a 2,000 Euro wheelset than it's of no help to you!

I want to get the Felt Lighter I have a Enve 2.2 wheelset coming and some veloflex record and tubiltos. i probably wont run bar tape and i have a carbon sattle which probably isn't as light as the a tune but around 160 gramms. do you have any recommendations for shifter cables and maybe some lighter chainrings? i uploaded some older pictures.

For cables on my regular rim brake bikes I use Alligator I-Links for brake and mini I-Links for shift. I've had good luck with Praxis rings but keep in mind that will throw the calibration of your crank based power meter off. Some people also like Extralyte rings. I do have the Praxis on two bikes and the standard Red rings on a few. Not the lightest but they work.

Nice looking bike!

If you want a light carbon saddle for a hill climb and aren't too fussed if it will be super comfortable or not, try this option

Should be equivalents for Germany, and at roughly 90 grams, is pretty ridiculously light for the price

Pretty sure other users have used one of these in the past. I had it on a light weight build and although not that comfortable, worked well (although might need a bit of work to stop it being so slippery)
