Hi guys,
i actually saw another member here buy the same frame that was on a deep discount and now i know why ! this Sl5 tarmac had a few things as i was chosing components that made the whole thing a headache. DISC BRAKE QUICK RELEASE ?! lol

heres my build so far

Total without cages and pedals, garmin 6715
Total with everything 7170

i really wanted 7.0 MAX ideally 6.9. my target budget was 4k and ive achieved that before tax but maybe i should get rid of the ultegra cassete and go for the red level one ? its just annoying i saw a couple posts about it being noisy and not as reliable as the shimano one. what can i do to drop 100 grams? i cant find good titanium skewers for 135mm rear spacing either they all do 130. i found zipp ones but their stainless steel at 90g so not much better than the 110 ones that will be coming with my wheels.

the wheels arrive today and its the last thing i needed to get the bike built up so maybe i should just build it ride and then see what i want to change? its been such a headache the last 3 months trying to get everything with the pandemic i didnt want to get used parts as everyone wants as close to retail prices as possible LOL.
thanks,

edit : Finally got it together

For starters, a lighter seatpost would help. also lighter pedals. You can save at least 100 grams on the pedals easily, and 80 grams on the seatpost.

I would put the crank on the other side of the frame
