FYI new "tubeless" tires for standard rims coming out in August from Slime look similar to old Love "semi-tubeless" concept.

Slime told me knobby XC versions supposedly weight 760g for 2.0 and 680 for 1.85 sizes-not terribly light but I suppose it would eliminate extra 60g of Stan's rim strip and approx. 60g of sealant, hassles w/ liquid..

They didn't have any more info on tread or durometer but can see at http://www.slime.com/bike/ if you wish

The company said the new tires wouldn't be available until approx. August.

I don't know if you can get them direct from Slime but I assume they could be ordered by any retailer that carries Slime products
