Having just twisted and snapped my 2002 XT rear derailure  , I'm looking to buy a light derailure without comprimising strength.
The LX 570 Gold is light, does anyone have experience in the strength of light derailures?

cheers

What is the weight of the LX 570 Gold? I've heard of guys using a Dura Ace on the rear but I have no idea what the durability is under mountain conditions. I'd like to hear some opinions if someone has tried that.

LX Gold are about 198g, less than XTR, but I'm not sure how strong it would be.
I'm thinking about a road mech, and DH'er use then cause they are stronger and have more ground clearance. They do not have the reach for large cogs, so not as popular for XC.

Does anyone know the weight of STX RC?
