Hello,

I was wondering if The Machinist from Denmark still makes chainrings? His site doesn't work anymore! I'm looking for a good alternative for the original xtr 2004 chainrings

Last time I saw Anders website, he had a note posted up saying they have stopped production.

Another option to the XTR is to fabricate your own rings out of some Salsa Pro Rings. What you do it buy the four bolt, 104BCD rings in what every tooth size that yuo want and start doing some shaving and drilling. first take of the old XTR rings and mark the spots on the Salsa rings for holes. Then drill out the holes so that it matchs the XTR bolt pattern. Shave off the extra mounting holes and your pretty much set to go. It really works well and the rings are much cheaper and come in different sizes, all the way up to a 48T!
