LIGHT RIGID FORKS
Moderator: Moderator Team
I am rebuilding my bike to be light, but not spending too much money. I want to run ridgid forks as i don't get on with suspension forks as i think they are too heavy for the advantages gained. I have looked at the pace ridgid forks but they are a bit expensive, any other sugestion of what i should be looking for all i can find is heavy trials forks? Carbon, ally,TI or steel?
Now I have a Kinessis rigid fork wich is made of CrMl and Aluminium. It weight 730g and it is cheap too, about 60-100$. But I have found very light alu fork at my local bicycle shop that weights 500g and cost about 50$, it is noname alu fork. Only problem is that it has a 1" steerer tube diameter. Try to find some simple looking fork and maybe you will luck sometime to find one as I did!
I wish you luck!
