On my hardtail, I use rocket rons 26" (non-tubeless) and they are excellent; I decided to go the same brand on the 27.5
Picked up the older version of the Schwalbe Thunder Burts 27.5 (I believe weight is 440-450 non tubeless.. it is very light)
They are fine in terms of popping on the tubeless on a double taped crest mk4, but they get micro-holes like a siv and I'm not sure I can go above 40psi without issues. After about 400 miles (and 5-6 tire patches) I may want to bite the bullet and go to an actual tubeless tire. Unfortuanately the tubeless thunderburts are around 550g when weighed.
Any recommendations on lightweight, but fast rolling tires? (27.5 x 2-2.0)
It looks like everything for tubeless in the weightweenies is 540-600g. Not exactly light, but if it doesn't leak, I may go this route.

Have ran the old pacestar liteskin Thunderburt 2.1 in the past, setup tubeless no probs.
Same with liteskin RocketRon.
Scaletread Conti SpeedKing Racesport 2.2 is around 415gm. Ran those tubeless for around 3yrs. No probs.
There's some stupid-light 2.0/2.1 asian tyres out there like the Chaoyang Merlin. By memory around 400gm.
Innova DragonSkin? also. Not a lot of grip in them though.
OrangeSeal Endurance.

RaceKings Protection are 580g. Not the lightest but one of the fastest according to BRR.
My very short experience with them (cause I don't ride my MTB much anymore) is that they are fast and grip well. No punctures yet.
