Hellow while i was trying to remove a square taper crank with the extractor the thread of crank failed.Maybee the crank was overtight or bad quality(cheap shimano altus). Is there any solution or i should cut the crank with cutting wheel?I m sure that the exteactor was in the right place.

Do you plan to reuse the crank? If so, get a cheap automotive gear puller and it will make quick work on removing the arm.

Otherwise, go for a ride with the crank bolt installed but loose and let the crank arm loosen up on its own. Or cut it.
