After switching to wax on road bike, went ahead and tried it on xc bike. Love it, much smoother and quieter gear change up and down. Next was the powder, first on road bike than on xc bike. Powder seemed to make shifting quicker, and with the eagle cassette, the drop into gears felt less abrupt.
Powder is staying on better than I thought, but I apply it to newly waxed chain after 10 min warm up chain (I remove chain and use a plastic rain gutter to apply.). I also powder cassette after kerosene and alcohol deep clean. It could be all in my head, but damn! it is so much smoother on both bikes!
There are a few companys to choose from, I chose MSPEEDWAX products because they answer all my emails and phone calls are very helpful and friendly.

Isn't it possible to put the powder in the zip lock baggie while chain is somewhat still warm (cool down 10 min after waxing)?

Is the powder PTFE like what CeramicSpeed uses?

MS Wax recommends applying powder with brush and then immediately riding or spinning crank (and going through the gears) for approx 10min which will help infuse the powder into the chain and rollers.

MSPEEDWAX Race Powder is PTFE w/ Molybdenum.

Does the chain keep silent and feel lubricated after that riding time?

Very quite and it's more a feeling of less drag.

Nice. I need to try it, it's very dusty here in the summer or with dry weather.
