I voted GT. But I also want to toss in Kona!

I really have a weak spot for old school manufacturers!

...well I have two scott bikes (including the one I bought for my wife) and have no complaints. Both were good value (bought well below retail) and have performed well ever since.

In fact my g-zero pro was easily the lightest, best specced new bike I could get for the money.

Geometry ugly? If you say so.
Looks - if it were all about looks I'd be riding a De Kerf.
.....but it still has to work!

Other - Titus Racer X

Perfect balance between a great XC race bike without being to fragile to take some abuse. Customer service is second to none!!

I vote others - NICOLAI !!! For somewhat unique looks & best warranty.

I also like Giant since one of my best (hardtail) bike is an XTC SE1 :D

kona kick asssss!!!

scott geometry is ugly. It´s really ugly

Gt wins at strength. A zaskar frame is unbeatable at stiffness and strength. Try to break a gt triple triangle frame. Just impossible.

Kona wins at lightness price and geometry. Just think on the kona kula primo frame.
Happy trails !!!!!

lol i already broke 3 GT frames...

97 GT Tequesta, 98 GT Tequesta and a 00 Zaskar X.

Tequesta broke in the head tube and the Zaskar X at the junction of triple triangle, seat tube and the toptube. :)

Ellsworth, the best materials, manufacturing methods and finishing. Add to this a great handling package, and the ability to build a FS bike wih 100mm travel each end around 8kg.
