I have been riding a ton of gravel lately and really enjoying it. Then my riding buddies suggested that I try MTB as well, and told me I can borrow this bike of his in perpetuity...

Now I am hooked on mountain biking :-) I have also been taking it out on gravel rides with really bad surfaces. This bike actually weighs the same as my gravel bike, which was shocking to me as it has no real weight weenie parts on it.

Shimano XTR 2x build
RockShox SID XX World Cup 100mm fork
Easton XC90 wheels

I converted my 2015 Scott Scale to gravel duty. I just ordered a Whiskey #9 carbon fork which will make it under 18 pounds. With Race Kings it rolls as fast, or faster, as any gravel bike on gravel roads.
