Hey there,

I have an Eagle AXS Controller on one of my bikes in the right hand version, but my wife now also wants to get into mountain-biking, albeit she'd prefer the controller to be on her left hand side.

Are there any versions of the controller out there for lefties and would you know the model number? When googling you always find the explicitly named 'right hand' version, but no luck finding the left hand one.. so far. Ideally it would come with the newer rocker paddle...

Any hints/ideas would be appreciated.

Cheers and thanks,
-J

It does not exist. What does exist is the RockShox AXS controller, which is designed to be installed on the left side of the bars. But of course SRAM couldn't be bothered to put more than a single button on it, so not enough for shifting in both directions without putting a standard AXS trigger shifter on the right side of the bars anyway…

Blips or aftermarket shifters could be the best option maybe?

Made for lefties?

It's the "right hand" AXS controller because it goes on the right hand side of the bars.

There's no such thing as left hand front shift levers.

Here's how the axs shifter looks on the left hand side. Ergonomics are pretty good considering you're using the back of the rocker. Main body sticks out a bit more this way round.
