So, had some bad luck. My long term keeper has suffered terminal damage and I now need to find a new frame.
Frame given up at the IS rear brake mounts and seemingly not repairable.
Bike is a 2014 Intense Hard Eddie. Fully rigid set up. Not a crazy WW build but a brilliantly fast and comfy MTB that I love. I've just upgraded it to 11 speed XTR, new set of JRA Xc wheels with an XD hub and 1195 cassette. Then the frame gives in. Runs at 8.2kgs rigid but also have Fox 32 Factory forks I can swap to in 10 mins for more technical rides.
Anyone any ideas for a suitable frame to rebuild with?
Ideally want to re use as many parts as possible so fairly old school set up. 11 speed. Non boost. 30.9 seatpost. 12x142 rear wheel. 15x100 front wheel.
Looking for lightweight, compliant, capable of fast road miles as well as slack enough geometry for fast off road descending. XC but not downhill.
Gutted, so need to be inspired by the hope of a new bike that will be its equal.
Budget not huge, ideally frame set for less than £1500....

I'm sure there are many non boost but I'll throw in the following ;
Cannondale flash
Specialized epic hardtail *
Mondraker podium
KTM Myroon *

* not 100% sure if these are available in non-boost.

Thanks for recommending those, all added to the list.

Is there a good Chinese frame option from people's experience.
Ideally looking for a head tube angle of 70 degrees or lower, and a frame weight close to 1000kg.
There are so many Chinese frames, I don't know where to start.....

This has been discussed, some say avoid no-brand Chinese frames, others say the opposite, after all, even the top brands frames are made in China/Taiwan.

But my own experience. I bought a no brand framr but didn't build it ad although it was large,it fell between medium/large frame of the brands I ride.

I sold it and within a week the seller reported the top tube had cracked on the first outing. Of course I was not present so he could have been jumping off a 4ft wall, but regardless of that, I personally would not buy one.

Make you an idea by scanning chinertown.com
For instance this one: http://chinertown.com/index.php/topic,3113.0.html

As usual in forums, you'll find few broken frames, while most who ride them for years won't write to say they are happy.
