Anyone got any pointers on a wheelset for the new scalpel?

Light, robust and well priced?

Cheers heaps!

You know the unwritten rule of weight weenieness:

Light, reliable, expensive - choose two.

I don't know the answer but it is not possible to have all 3.

You mean: Light, reliable (the original is stiff), cheap.
Light and reliable will most definitely be available in a super expensive version

If someone wants to recommend a set which fits two of the above that would be great. Light bicycle seems to have an option with hydra hubs to suit the new lefty. approx $1800 aus for a wheelset weighting 1400grams. Thoughts?

If you want lefty front wheel then that limits your choices unless you are going to replace the front hub.

Light lefty wheels I know are mavic carbon pro and enve.

I believe cannondale changed the lefty hub design recently, like a couple of years ago, and that the two variants are not compatible.

partly right.
With the Lefty 2.0 they introduced the Lefty 60 mm hubs to a broader audience.
While the Lefty 2.0 was also available with an adapter that allowed to use the old hubs, this adapter is not available for the Ocho Forks.
Now, the hub still fits the fork, but the braking caliber sits in a wrong position. This can be spacered (Rotor has to be spacered) but if one is going to buy a new set of wheels, one should definitely aim for the newer standard.

There are plenty of possibilities, since some well known hub producers make lefty specific hubs...such as Tune and Extralite.
Paired with light rims and spokes (i.e. Duke Lucky Jack, Sapim CX-Ray) should allow for a Wheelset < 1400 gr. at arround or below 1500€
Personally i don't like complete builts from Mavic, since they use to many proprietary parts and are quite heavy for their pricetag.
Four years ago i would pay around 1200€ for a set with tune hubs, CX-Rays and the at that time Duke Lucky Jacks....are around 1300gr. if i recall right.

Starbike actually offers some options as well ;)

Has anyone ordered hubs from R2 and shipped to Australia of late?

Or does anyone know someone who sells Carbon TI or Tune hubs in Australia?

Cheers
