Light, Durable ~30mm inner rims?

Hi dear Friends,

I'm looking forward to a new wheelset for my gravelbike with 30mm internals and came across these two rims which are very interesting.

These two rims in T800 looks super light and with the same weight with 320g. The 28mm depth rim is maybe even a bit more aerodynamic without a wieght penalty.

Can you please share your thoughts.

Has anyone tested real world weights for the EIE wheel builds. Im skeptical on the weight their online wheel builder tool is quoting for a 27mm internal 28/28 DT350 build. Dont get me wrong, id be plenty happy if it did match up with the 1350g's-ish quote but seems far fetched.

Use their rim weights and ERDs in the DT Swiss spoke calculator. It’s quite accurate. My wife’s EIE/350 build was within a gram or two of what DT predicted, using known (within a couple grams of advertised) weights of the rims.

I got a set of EIE wheels, built by EIE.

I went the following:
A29C25D22 Wheels SL:310+/-15G,UD,Matte ,32H ,black eie decals )--2pcs Hubs:Chosen lefty 2.0 front ,DT Swiss 240 exp 12*148 32H 6-BOLT SRAM XD ,54T,j-BEND (Rear wheels needs to be dished 6mm for Cannodale AI) Spoke:Sapim CX-Ray Nipple

They weighed 1300 grams for the set without valves and tape.

Take the second one to be combined with sapim MG washers to be more accurate with the spokes tension.

Any opinion on the Tune Blackburner 28 Endurance? Seems like a reasonable/safe weight (and is even 32 spoke). https://r2-bike.com/TUNE-Wheelset-29-Bl ... -Thru-Axle

Not great weights for very high prices.

I’d go with the new Duke Crazy Jack SLS3, Berd and hubs of your choice. Cheaper, wider, lighter.

Has anyone seen scale shots of the 2020+ DT Swiss XRC 1200 Spline 30s with 180s?

Or the XMCs with the new 180s?

The listed weights and the weights posted on various retailer websites are all over the place.

Curious which way you went as I am also contemplating a 30mm inner width build for a new MTB frame coming in. Probaly also doing similar rides but in UT.
