Hey there! I'm building my new 2021 Season race bike. The current specs are (custom xl carbon frame from a small business near me, rockshox sid sl ultimate with race day charger, rockshox sidluxe ultimate rear shock, xx1 axs drivetrain + e13 XCX race cranks, Magura mt8 SL's, custom carbon rims, extralite stem, darimo bars, and then the other odds and ends). My question is about hubs! My goal for the full suspension is <21 pounds. I love the durability and performance of the Industry 9 Hydras, but love the extralite Hyper hubs because they're so light. Thought on how long the extralite hubs will last, how robust they are, and if they're worth it? Thanks!

Oh, awesome! How reliable are they? Are they easy to service?

My small sample (n=4) has shown to be reliable - as mentioned. You will have to look elsewhere for more evidence. They are not harder to service than most and easier than some I guess. Have a look at the manuals at the manufacturer’s site to get an idea of this.

Go 240 instead. Put the money saved into Berd spokes.

Gain 25g at the hubs, save 170 Euro. Put that into Berds, lose 50g or more.

I9 have trash bearings. They are not durable.

Using a E*Thirteen bb for the crank or do you know if other bb's for 30mm axle will work? Getting a XCX crank for my Epic tomorrow but bb was too far away so looking for alternatives.
