I'm about to build something quite similar.
Even the same brake color :beerchug:
Did you weight the frameset ?
It was 1.83kg (size large).. Be sure to post pics!

Does 1.83kg include or exclude shock?

It does. Probably hanger, axle, headset and cage bolts too at that weight.

yes - shock, cage bolts, and hanger. A little heavier then I expected to be honest..

Still super light though! Very cool frame. They claim 1659 for a medium I think. So a bit extra for large, and a bit extra for yellow paint (no doubt the claimed weight is a darker colour that weighs less). You've got a great bike!

1659 is a pipe dream... I haven't seen any close to that weight

I know this thread is almost a year old but I cant find many threads specifically about Epic Evos! I am debating between an Epic and an Epic Evo right now, how did you like your experience with the EVO? My main concern is the power transfer on the climbs. Cheers!

What about Formula Cura? No idea what is the weight difference, but they will surely be up to the descents. I've run them on my enduro bike and now I have another set on my XC bike too. They've been also run in the DH WC before the 4-piston version came to be. Actually, I think that Bruni won a world championship running them.

Absolutley the WORST brake I have ever owned. Lever adjustment doesn't let it get close enought to the bar and the power and modulation felt like an old Hayes HS1. Rode them twice, took the hit and bought some SRAM Guide rsc's. Night and day difference.
