9kg, is that good or bad?

For comparison my 2015 cannondale scalpel large weighs bang on 9.0kg with pedals albeit is 11speed, and could be even less with carbon rim wheels.

RIght there with you. My black inc (2016 I think) scalpel with enve m50s and pedals easily sub 9.
Lots of bikes: currently riding Enve Melee, Krypton Pro, S Works Crux, S Works Epic Evo, SL7.
In build: SW SL8

Just with the switch from 11s to 12s cassette you have 200g more. Axs derailleur and Quarq PM I am guessing would add another 100g and the S-works saddles are not really lightweight so 50-100g there also. So more comparable to a 8.6kg 11s FS XC bike.

Following. If the Evo comes with a sid luxe rear and sid (non-brain) and a lockout system it will almost certainly be my next bike.

yup, removing the "brain" will make the epic FS considerably more desirable

Personally I'd take the more modern geometry of a 2021 Scalpel or Epic at 10kg over an 8kg 2015 anything.

Oldie is not always goodie. You are right!
Power meter, dropper post, proper tires are things that one need for competitive cycling (well... Need...?)

average I'd say. You can cut 200g from the wheels, some g's from the component spec, and ditch the power meter. Going 11 speed would save a bit more weight.

I'll post the non-evo epic specs in a minute after this.

Personally am getting the yellow evo comp after seeing prices which I'll be slowly upgrading. The 12m isn't worth it for me and yellow is a school color.
Someone can post this on mtbr just give me credit for all the work I had to do to get this stuff, I don't have an account.
