Has anyone tried ZTTO superlight cassettes?
Moderator: Moderator Team
Hi. ZTTO make a 359gm 11speed 11-46 cassette with the largest 4 sprockets made of aluminium.
These are in a sale atm at aliexpress and also come in a very attractive rainbow colour but I wonder about the longevity of them
Has anyone tried these which at $96 seem a steal?
Thanks
Kes

How long, miles would you expect a cassette to last and how much do you think the ztt will differ?
Cassettes will be worn by the chain, chains wear quicker if ridden through mud, sand, grit.
So I think it is difficult to answer those questions.
Naturally aluminium alloy sprockets will wear faster than quality steel so like for like, you can expect something like sram xx1, x01 to last longer. And it depends on your riding style too, I have the xx1, x01 on my bike but the alloy 42t is the emergency gear, I consciously avoid using it.
At that price, just buy it and report back, what could possibly go wrong.

I always use the 42t on my XX1 cassettes and I expect my 38 and 40t chainrings to wear a lot faster.
